To have lost your mom at such a tender age is awful--heartbreaking. I'm sure that you have forged many sweet traditions of your own with Pete, Joy and your extended family, but the sense of loss is still present. May you cherish the memories you do have and may God Himself bring them to mind and keep them fresh in your heart. So thankful for you sharing from it. Ommie Deannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11155706574459983197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-938386568837560266.post-17801053036750608272015-11-29T10:07:12.535-08:002015-11-29T10:07:12.535-08:00The fact that you had your parents in your lives f...The fact that you had your parents in your lives for most of your life is an incredible blessing. So many of us lost a parent or parents when we were kids. I always wonder what I would be like if my mom hadn't died when I was a kid. Every thing changed. I barely remember her. You're so lucky to have a lifetime of wonderful memories and traditionsMarti Koldenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16418287599232030954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-938386568837560266.post-67135130249550141082011-12-27T17:28:09.803-08:002011-12-27T17:28:09.803-08:00I still haven't gotten used to new traditions....I still haven't gotten used to new traditions... We see them keeping some of the traditions and changing some to make them their traditions. Our journey has brought us to this place and we are grateful! Thank you for such beautiful words.Dianne Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04322031564073787520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-938386568837560266.post-35033184702546939922011-11-27T20:12:24.756-08:002011-11-27T20:12:24.756-08:00I will always miss our Matthis Christmas...but I t...I will always miss our Matthis Christmas...but I think of them fondly when we watch A Christmas Story now in my own home.

Christmas morning is the hardest....getting up knowing that Dad isn't out cooking the french toast, and the conversations we all had over coffee.
